This week I'm ticking off two items from my bucket list:

1.  Design an Edward Scissorhands print.

2.  Take part in 'Crazy 4 Cult' at Gallery 1988.

I've wanted to do both for a really long time, so a big thanks to Jensen, Katie and Amber at G1988 for getting me involved.  From the previews I've seen so far its shaping up to be a really great show.

As for Edward Scissorhands, it's my favourite film.  I love everything about it.  Unashamedly, unabashedly, abnormally.  Every scene, every set piece is brilliant in its deconstruction of suburbia and as a love letter to the man-makes-a-monster movies of Golden Age Hollywood.  Couple this with a Burton and Depp combo at the top of their game, an emotional final performance from Vincent Price, Diane Wiest and Winona Ryder showing Mothers and Daughters how its done.  Perfect.

When Edward Scissorhands appeared on the list of movies to illustrate there was really no other choice.  I just hope I've done it justice.

Crazy 4 Cult opens at Gallery 1988, 12/12/14.  Details after the preview below.
